The Unfailing Love of the Most High

 For the king trusts in the LORD;
  through the unfailing love of the Most High
  he will not be shaken. Psalm 21:7

Dear sisters, beloved in Christ,               June 22, 2010

David poured out his heart to the LORD again and again without trepidation of rejection. Many of his Psalms that speak of fear and struggle end in a positive note of faith. A faith which sings praise of who God is in power and faithfulness. This encourages me to come with confidence and after pouring out my heart I can choose faith, choose to believe the goodness and Sovereignty of the  One who loves me immeasurably. Again this truth took my hand and lead me on in faith as I read Psalm 21:7 and again in Psalm 55:22-23. The word 'shaken' in Hebrew was moved: to waver, to move, used of things that ought to be firm/fixed, therefore implies a great shaking, agitation (mountains/kingdoms) implying motion which causes ruin or injury.

               Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you;

He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Psalm 55:22

Wow! His word is so amazing chapter after chapter, verse after verse! When i first read about His loving watch-care not allowing us to be shaken, I naturally read into it that the ground I stood on was rock-still. After much meditation and the Hebrew word used here, I sensed it was far greater.... every thing may be moving and shaking around me and my circumstances may 'feel' unstable and frightening but because of His faithfulness, 'I' am not shaken. Not shaken from my faith or my focus because I moment by moment choose to walk by faith. Refusing to live by feelings in a topsy-turvy, upside down, shaking from the inside out world. I am hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3:3) Safe in Him. Given perspective, He commands my strength. Fills me with living hope. (I Peter 1:3) I am learning truths of His Sovereignty.

"Hence, it has ever been God's way to raise up personal vessels by fiery ordeal. The messenger must not only have the message in him, but he must be in the message: not only in mind and feeling, but in experience and being." T.A.S.

When we share what we have we may minister temporarily to the physical. To supply that which is eternal, we must share what we are which requires it to be from what the Lord Jesus is in us. We only come to the end of ourselves, choosing not to trust even in our own strength; as we are 'pressed out of measure' (2 Co 1:8) all is shaking, we finally turn to Him for Strength and Wisdom and Truth. Oh the difference this makes: life or death for us and those we love and serve. But everything else must be proved insufficient before we come to realize this and it requires time and time cannot be hurried. It requires dying...

...always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 2 Cor 4:10-11

Father-God,
 What joy to know You! Who am I that I should be so loved and cared for? Your love shouts your acceptance and personal watch-care over me. I feel so slow to grasp truth about You and to often feel so slow to believe or receive what You are teaching me.   Thank You for being greater than my inadequacies and struggles. Thank You for the day I stand blameless and beautiful in Your Presence. Perfect... wow! Thank You your greatness is unsearchable and You love it when I draw near just to be with You. You alone see every tear and hurt and bring hope and encouragement daily. I love You Abba and long to glorify You and have You manifest Your love through me to family and a lost world. I pray in the One who lavishes His love on me in ways I am hardly able to receive. Help each of my sisters see with new eyes Your immeasurable love for them. You are amazing. Beautiful beyond description. amen

I will not be shaken! Greater is His unfailing love...

Just where you stand in the conflict,
There is your place.
Just where you think you are useless,
Hide not your face.
God placed you there for a purpose,
Whate’er it be;
Think He has chosen you for it;
Work loyally.
Gird on your armor! Be faithful
At toil or rest!
Whate’er it be, never doubting
God’s way is best.
Out in the fight or on the picket,
Stand firm and true;
This is the word which your Master
Gives you to do.
